On the new timetable, these trains have been re-routed in Germany, they now take a slightly slower, but much more secnic route between Lindau and Munich.

The first scenic highlight to watch out occurs after the train departs from Bregenz - the train travels along the shore of the Bodensee, and the view of the lake is on the left..

The train will then travel over a short causeway across the lake in order to arrive at Lindau station.

The train will reverse direction on departure from Lindau.

On departure from Lindau Banhnhof the best views of the lake are aslo on the left (so are on the right when arriving.

The train will then spend more than an hour travelling through the foothills of The Bavarian Alps.

The highlight of the journey comes between Oberstaufen and Immendtadt, when the railway line runs by the GroBer Alpsee - the lovely views over the lake are on the right hand side.

So, due to the reversal at Lindau, when joining the train at Zurich, choose seats on the left.
