How to travel from Milan to Padua/Padova by train

Milano / Milan / Mailand to Padova / Padua by train

Now that the first stage of the Milano to Venezia high speed line has opened to Brescia, the rail service between Milan/Milano and Padua/Padova is provided by

  1. high speed 'Frecce' trains operated by the national rail company, Trenitalia
  2. high speed Italo trains
  3. EuroCity (EC) trains which have travelled from Switzerland (these trains don't use the high speed line).

Routes you can take to go from Milano / Milan / Mailand to Padova / Padua

When travelling between most cities by train there is only one logical option, though on other journeys there is a choice between different trains or alternative routes. If different options are available you can use the info to decide which is best for you.
