Changing trains in: Paris

The Eurostar will arrive in Paris at the Gare Du Nord, but the train on to Barcelona will depart from the Gare De Lyon.

This guide explains how to make the transfer between the two stations by RER train.

The departure of the afternoon train to Barcelona has been moved back an hour to a usual time of 15:08 (15:14 from Mar 30th).

The optmum connection will then be available by taking the 10:24 Eurostar from London, which also calls at Ebbsfleet - though that train doesn't depart from London on Saturdays.
You will have 1hr 20mins to make the transfer across Paris from the Gare Du Nord to the Gare De Lyon.
So even if the Eurostar was to arrive in Paris 45 mins late you should still make the train on to Barcelona.

Making that transfer across Paris by RER train won't usually take more than 30 mins and you won't have to 'check-in' for the Barcelona train.
Though you will be connecting into the final direct train of the day from Paris to Barcelona

So an option is to split the booking into London to Paris and Paris to Barcelona journeys, so that you can set off from London on a DAILY train and 09:24 - and give yourself even more time in Paris to make the connection.

---------------------------------------------------------

Or on the dates when the direct Paris - Lyon train is  operating - in 2020 it will be operating...
May 25 - July 18: Monday, Friday and Saturday
July 19 - Aug 30th: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Aug 31 - Sep 14: Monday, Friday and Saturday
... an alternative is to avoid the need to transfer across Paris, by taking an alternative routing, which involves changing trains in Lyon.

---------------------------------------------------------

The revision to the departure time of the year round afternoon train from Paris to Barcelona has broken what had been a tightly timed connection for travel on to Madrid.
It's also no longer possible to connect in Barcelona and travel on to Reus, Tarragona and Zaragoza - though it should be possible to take trains on to Sitges (they depart Barcelona at 22:06 and 23:08).
