How to take the rail journey from London to Vienna/Wien

London to Wien / Vienna by train

There are four options available for taking a journey by train from London to Vienna/Wien:

  1. Making the end-to-end journey by day.

  2. If you will be leaving London on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday then it's possible to take a Eurostar to Bruxelles and then a night train on from there to Wien/Vienna.

  3. Or if you will be leaving London on the other days of the week, an option is to make a connection of around 2hr 20 mins in Bruxelles in to a train on to Koln/Cologne, where around 4 hours after arriving there, an overnight train will depart for Wien/Vienna.

When travelling between most cities by train there is only one logical option, though on other journeys there is a choice between different trains or alternative routes. If different options are available you can use the info to decide which is best for you.
