Changing trains in: Lille

Making the connection between the Eurostar from London and the TGV to Strasbourg at Lille Europe has the major advantage of avoiding the need to transfer between stations in Paris.

You'll need to make your own way from the Gare Du Nord to the Gare de l'Est if you opt to take the alternative route via Paris.

However, this journey option via Lille is compromised by the timing of the connection from there on to Strasbourg.
Take the 15:04 daily Eurostar from London and the transfer time into the train to Strasbourg, which is usually scheduled to depart at 19:09, will be more than 1hr 30mins.
Though a positive is that making this connection is close to being guaranteed - the Eurostar will rarely arrive in Lille more than an hour late.

If you want or need to arrive in Strasbourg sooner and ALSO want to avoid the transfer between stations in Paris, then on Mondays to Saturdays, the first Eurostar of the day (06:47/06:57)  has a two hour connection into the train to Strasbourg, which is usually scheduled to depart Lille at 11:25.

Due to the long intervals between trains in Lille, the ticket agents don't typically offer tickets for an end-to-end journey from London to Strasbourg via Lille, so an option is to book the London to Lille and Lille to Strasbourg journeys separately.
