Manchester to Chester by train

On Monday to Saturday there are three separate train services from Manchester, which all typically depart hourly:
1: The trains which depart from Manchester Victoria daily tend to be the the best option - can be cheapest and have a journey time of under an hour.
2: Train which commences their journeys at Manchester Airport and also call at Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations - but aren't available on Sundays.
3: Trains which depart from Manchester Piccadilly daily but take a slower route via Stockport.
Note that 1st class seating is not available on any of these train services.
