On Monday to Saturday there are three separate train services from Manchester, which all typically depart hourly:
1: The trains which depart from Manchester Victoria daily tend to be the the best option - can be cheapest and have a journey time of under an hour.
2: Train which commences their journeys at Manchester Airport and also call at Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations - but aren't available on Sundays.
3: Trains which depart from Manchester Piccadilly daily but take a slower route via Stockport.
Note that 1st class seating is not available on any of these train services.
When travelling between most cities by train there is only one logical option, though on other journeys there is a choice between different trains or alternative routes. If different options are available you can use the info to decide which is best for you.
