These new and rather smart Standard Class only trains are used by train operating company Northern on many routes to/from Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle.
Accessing the train
Which country these trains operate in.
The power sockets on this train are compatible with the standard 3-point plugs as typically used in the UK.
A complimentary WiFi portal is available throughout this train.
On these trains a fairly high number of the seats are grouped around tables, particularly as they are used for shorter-distance commuter routes as well as some mid-distance services.
Note that no catering facilities are available on these trains and seat reservations are also not available, which is typical of trains used on commuter routes.
Because these trains are also used on busy shorter-distance commuter routes they aren't fitted with luggage racks.
The idea is that they are folding seats by the doors, which when not in use, provide space to store larger items of luggage, which won't fit in the storage space above the windows.
So this space may not be available when boarding busy trains, so if you will have large items of luggage with you. try to avoid travelling into cities between 08:00 and 09:30; and away from them between 16:30 and 18:30.
Bicycles on Board:
Dedicated space which can accommodate two standard non-folding bicycles per train but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis and spaces cannot be reserved.
