Until recently there used to be two different types of train service on the Paris to Amiens route, the slower trains were the TER trains and the faster trains were Intercités services.
But now these faster trains are also TER services too.
So take care when looking up these services online and when boarding at the Gare Du Nord; because it's worth targeting those faster trains.
Other TER services can be more than 25 mins slower, but they won't be any cheaper.
