The first stage of the high speed line between Milano and Venezia opened a few years ago, so the high speed Frecce and Italo services rush to Brescia in under 40 minutes.
However, that speed comes at a price, so if you will be booking tickets last minute at the station, the Regionale trains are a cheaper, but slower option
When taking a train journey from Milano to Brescia, you can reach your destination twice as fast, by taking the alternative high speed trains.
However, if you'll be booking tickets last minute at the station, you'll save more than €10 by taking these Regionale trains.
And if you will be travelling with a Eurail or InterRail Pass, you can avoid the €10 rail pass reservation fees payable on those journeys by Frecce trains
Final Destination: Verona P.N. and Brescia
The train service is operated by Trenord and not Trenitalia.
15 - 17 x trains per day

They'll be more than €10 cheaper, for this comparatively short journey, if you'll be booking last minute at the station.
InterRail and Eurail Passes can be used on Trenord's trains.

Note that a variety of different trains take this route, but for a journey such as this, it doesn't particularly matter which specific train will be used for your departure, particularly in Standard/Second class.
What all the types of train have in common is that they are air-conditioned and reservations are mandatory, so seats will be assigned when booking tickets.
The newer type of Frecciargento trains are used on this route.
(Seat reservations are not available on the slower Regionale services).
