Berlin to Stockholm by train
How to take the new direct train service from the German capital to the Swedish capital
From early April until late September (dates have yet to be confirmed for 2023) this direct train will depart from Berlin daily in the late evening and then travel through the night to arrive in Stockholm in the early afternoon.

The train is usually scheduled to depart Berlin Hbf just before 21:00 and arrive in Stockholm at 14:15; any schedule changes can be looked up here.

When the usual timetable is operating; these trains connect into the train on to Stockholm:
- 12:42 arrival from Praha/Prague
- 13:27 arrival from Basel, Freiburg, Baden-Baden and Frankfurt (Main)
- 13:29 arrival from Munchen, Nurnberg and Leipzig
- 13:32 arrival from Dresden

In common with how the accommodation on most European night trains is sold the price for travelling in an ordinary seat is in effect the base price to which the costs of travelling by the other options is then added.
On this train, in addition to the ordinary seats, the other options are:
- reclining seats
- a berth in a shared sleeping compartment
- an entire private compartment, which can be used solo, or by up to 6 members of a travelling party
The private compartments are sold at a flat rate irrespective of the occupancy, so check the prices carefully, for groups of 4 or more the private compartment can be cheaper than a separate place per person in the shared compartments.
