Don't assume that you have to board the train at Praha hl.n.
These trains also call at Praha-Holešovice and this station has easier connections (by tram) from some parts of the city, particularly those by the river.
For the first hour of the journey between Praha and Usti Nad Labem, the train will be travelling through the Elbe River Valley - the river views will be on the right hand side when facing the direction of travel.
Then later, between Chomutov and Karlovy Vary the trains pass through another pretty river valley.
