About the station

Valencia has two stations used by express trains to and from the city.

This station Valencia-Nord is the original station in the city, but the AVE trains from Madrid and the Euromed trains from Barcelona and Alicante use Valenica-Joaquin Sorolla station instead.

The train services which use Valenica-Nord are all the Talgo, Media-Distancia and local 'Cercanias' train services to and from Valencia.

The three advantages of using Valencia-Nord station are:

(1) It's closer to the city centre than Joaquin-Sorolla station - the area around the cathedral is a 15-20 min walk away.

It's located on the southern edge of the historic city centre, so we're not sure why it's called Valencia-Nord.

(2) It is directly linked to the Valencia Metro.

(3) It's a contender for Europe's most beautiful train station honours.

It's also an easy station to use as it's a terminus station.
