Despite there being up to 18 trains per day from Marseille to Hyères, avoid turning up at Marseille St Charles station in the expectation of hopping on a train.
This is France and the timetable is irregular, so there can be gaps of up to two hours hour between trains, particularly at weekends when there are fewer departures.
So it's worth looking up the departure times on SNCF Connect, even if you will be booking at the station.
