Good to Know

The station in Siena is some distance from the historic town centre and the waking route isn't particularly obvious as the station is cut off the town by a bus station which is located over a busy road.

So taking the bus is the best option, routes/lines 3, 8, 10, 17, 77 all go to the stop named Piazza del Sale, but this is sill a 10-20 min walk to the Piazza del Campo in the heart of the town.
So if the timings suit take route/line 7, it typically departs every 30 mins, but it gets nearer to the heart of the town as it goes to a stop at Stufa Seca.
