A few years ago the Intercity trains from Brussels/Bruxelles to The Netherlands were diverted to call at Breda, partially to facilitate new and improved connections with trains on to other destinations in The Netherlands including 'Den Bosch', Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem.
When travelling from the Belgian capital to these Dutch cities by train, the connections in Breda typically offer a faster end-to-end journey time in comparison to taking a high speed train to Rotterdam or Amsterdam, then making connections in either of those cities.
When travelling between most cities by train there is only one logical option, though on other journeys there is a choice between different trains or alternative routes. If different options are available you can use the info to decide which is best for you.
