The train operating company TransPennine Express has recently introduced these brand new trains on its Edinburgh – Newcastle – York – Leeds – Manchester – Liverpool route.
They’ve entered service so recently that ShowMeTheJourney has yet to encounter them – hence the temporary use of an official photograph.

Images of the interiors of the Standard and First Class coaches are included on this article published by The Railway Magazine.
Other information about the travelling experience on these trains is available on the TransPennine Express website.

These trains are from the same ‘family’ as the Azuma trains operated by LNER, and they have revolutionized train travel for the better on this main east-west route between northern England’s greatest cities.

These trains have dedicated bike spaces, but they must be reserved a minimum of 15 minutes prior to boardng.
You can either add a bike reservation when booking on the TransPennine website, or at later date on Twittter @TPEAssist or by calling 0345 600 1671.
