Salzburg to Hopfgarten im Brixental by train

There are two options for a taking a train from Salzburg to the ski slopes at Hopfgarten:

  1. There are direct trains, though they are much more frequent on Mon-Fri.
  2. The faster option is to take an express Railjet train to Worgl and then connect there for a local train.
Travelling via Worgl may seem odd as it located to the west of Hopfgarten (the direct trains will be heading there after they have called at Hopfgarten), but the speed of the Railjets compensates for that.
