Good to Know

A great day trip from Amsterdam is to experience a steam train ride on from Hoorn - so here's how to get there!

When travelling from Amsterdam to Hoorn target the InterCity trains heading to Enkhuizen.

When looking at the departure screens ignore the Sprinter trains that will be terminating at Hoorn.

They will stand out because Hoorn is their final destination, but they travel a roundabout route, so are more than an hour slower than the InterCity (IC) trains.
