The newly refurbished station in Llandudno town centre is located around a 10 min walk from the coastal promenade and Mostyn Street - the main shopping street.
On exiting the station, go the right and follow Augusta Street around its bend in the road.

*Train service summary

The station has direct trains to and from Manchester via Chester (Monday to Saturday) and trains to/from Blaenau Ffestiniog (daily), some of which offer connections with the stunning Ffestiniog Steam Railway.

Though other trains to Chester and Manchester, as well as direct trains to/from Bangor, Birmingham, Holyhead and London call at Llandudno Junction station, which is a couple of miles to the south of the coastal resort.~
There are typically one or two trains per hour which link Llandudno with Llandudno Junction - on Sunday connections at Llandudno Junction when heading to/from Chester and Manchester.

Bus route/line 25 also provides a connection to/from Llandudno Junction, however it's actually less frequent than the trains!

The main railway station in Llandudno is around a 15 to 25 minute walk from the the base station of the historic Great Orme tramway, with its stunning views.
The pedestrian route is to turn left on exiting the station and keep going straight ahead along various streets until you come to Abbey Road - from here go right and then left into Old Road.
Though Abbey Road and Old Road are on steep streets and the walk is uphill.

Taking the bus

Bus route / line 26 links Llandudno railway station with the summit of Great Orme on a service which operates hourly.
It's a cheaper alternative to riding the summit than the tramway, or gives an option of taking the bus one way and the tram the other.
For those who will want to avoid walking up steep roads, the optimum route is

  • Take the bus 26 to the summit
  • Take the tram down to the base station
  • Walk from the base station down into the town and make your way back to the rail station.
