About the station

Penzance station is a terminus because it always been the most south-westerly point of the UK rail network and as a result the station has always had a romantic aura, being the end point of a beautiful journey across Devon and Cornwall.

Being a terminus it is also a gratifyingly easy station to use at the culmination of a long train ride.
The access between the trains and bus station, taxi rank town centre and ferry terminal is step-free.

---------------------------------------------------------

The easy interchange with the local buses is particularly useful for those travelling yet further west to destinations which have never been touched by railways.

Here are the timetables.

The ferry terminal for the sea crossing to the Isles of Scilly is a 12 – 20 min walk from Penzanced station, but it’s flat route and easy to navigate, head off down Wharf Road (the station car park will be on the right) and keep going ahead.
The majority of ferry departures are timed to give a good connection with The Night Riviera train service from London, but this can vary according to the day of the week.
