BLS operates many of the IR (InterRegio) and RE (Regional Express) services in Switzerland, particularly on the routes to and from Bern; though it's very new 'Mika' trains which are already being used on the Bern - Langnau - Luzern; and the Bern - Neuchatel - La Chaux-de-Fonds routes.
More of these trains are on order, so they will soon be introduced on the Bern - Brig - Domodossola and Bern - Zweissimen routes.

BLS is currently in the midst of updating its fleet of trains as it has ordered a swathe of new trains it is branding 'Mika'.
They are the top tier BLS trains, so are the only BLS services which offer an on-board bar/bistro service.

Seat reservations are also available on the Mika trains as well as on the Bern - Brig - Domodossola and Bern - Zweissimen routes; the Mika trains will be introduced to these route in early 2023.
Seat reservations cost 5 CHF, but unless you will be setting off from Bern between 16:00 and 18:30; seats are typically available on BLS trains.

Bicycles can be taken on board any BLS train service, as long as space is available, though as is typical in Switzerland bike tickets are required.

Dogs can also be taken on board, smaller dogs can travel for free if placed in a travel basket, but if your dog is too large, or you don't want to use a basket, second class adult tickets are required for dogs.
