How to travel to the ski resorts at Champery, Les Diablerets and Leysin by train from Aigle station; and how to travel from Bex to Villars by train
Transports Publics du Chablais operates trains that connect with SBB trains at Aigle and Bex stations.
Connections from Aigle:
Aigle SBB Station is served by direct SBB trains from Geneva, Brig, Lausanne, Montreux, Sion and Visp.
Connect at Aigle for TPC trains on three separate routes to the ski resorts of Champery, Les Diablerets and Leysin; trains depart hourly on all three routes.
The TPC station in Champery is directly adjacent to the base station for the gondola lift up to the slopes at Croix de Culet.
The journey between Aigle and Champery takes 55 around 55mins - 1hr.
The TPC station in Les Diablerets is a 5 min walk from the base station of the gondola lift up to Iseanau.
The journey between Aigle and Les Diablerets takes 45 - 55 minutes.
The ski lifts in Leysin are a 5 -10 min walk from the terminal/final station at Leysin-Feydey, don't leave trains at Leysin-Village station if you will be heading direct to the slopes.
The journey to Leysin-Feydey takes around 35 mins.
Connections from Bex:
TPC also operates the BVB railway route between Bex SBB station (on the same SBB mainline station as Aigle) and Bretaye via Villars-sur-Ollon.
Direct trains don’t operate the full length of the BVB line between Bex and Bretaye, connections have to be made at Villars-sur-Ollon.
The most scenic section of the route is that between Villars-sur-Ollon and Bretaye, from the terminus at Bretaye there are multiple lifts leading up to the slopes of the Villars ski resort.
The station at Bretaye is closer to these ski lifts, than the stations in Villars-sur-Ollon village and La Barboleuse.
The journey from Bex to Bretaye takes around 1hr with a change of train of Villars-sur-Ollon (the journey between Bex and Villars-sur-Ollon takes around 40 mins).
There is 1 x train per hour between Bex and Villars-sur-Ollon, but in ski season there are 2 x trains per hour between Villars-sur-Ollon and Bretaye.
Tickets between SBB stations and TPC stations can be booked on the SBB online booking service and at SBB stations, which is useful as TPC does not sell tickets online
