Due to ID checks imposed by Swedish authorities, the Øresundståg train service across the Oresund bridge between Denmark and southern Sweden now only operates between Københavns Lufthavn, (the station at Copenhagen Airport), and destinations in Sweden.
As a result change of train is now required* at Københavns Lufthavn when travelling between central København/Copenhagen and destinations in Sweden served by Øresundståg trains, including Malmo, Lund and Helsingborg.
These Øresundståg trains that depart every 20 mins from København H station
These trains also call at Nørreport and Østerport stations.
*The only direct trains between København/Copenhagen and Sweden are now the Sn trains between København/Copenhagen and Stockholm, but these trains cannot be used for journeys between København and Malmo.

Final Destination: Lufthavn St.
The change of train is necessary because photo ID (passport, driving licence) has to be shown to immigration control at Københavns Lufthavn station before boarding the Øresundståg trains TO Sweden - that now commence their journeys at CPH Lufthaven station - which is also the station that serves Copenhagen Airport.
(Københavns Lufthavn is the final station in Denmark, which is why the ID checks are being carried out there, the ID checks are completely separate to the immigration control that those boarding flights pass through).
The need to pass through ID checks is adding at least 20 mins to the journey between København/Copenhagen and Malmo (and beyond).
Try to avoid making the journey at peak times between 07:30 and 9:30 or between 16:30 and 18:30.
IDs do not have to be shown when travelling from Sweden TO Denmark, the Øresundståg trains still operate direct to central København/Copenhagen FROM Swedish cities including Malmo, Lund and Helsingborg.
